“El-Terreno” is still a insider’s tip for “Non-Mallorquins”. Residents and adepts knows it already for a while and love El Terreno for living quiet but central in Palma. The district is situated between the “green lung of Palma”, the parc Bellver with its beautiful castle on the top and the lively Paseo Marítimo with its restaurants, nightlife and the luxury yachts.
The hillside situation at the foot of the castle Bellver offers the best requirements for a pleasant Mediterranean life. Here you not only always have a moderate breeze coming from the sea but also the best sun position and always more sun than in the inner center of Palma due to the orientation. This the residents appreciate a lot already in 1900, after all in winter time. That’s why they built their wonderful art noveau villas on that hill. Most of them were noblemen and international artists. Today you can still find these fin-de-siegle-houses, exuberant gardens architectural jewels as witnesses of a magnificent time.
